Haven't had

any takers for my FLU bug yet. LOL---can't blame ya! I would run the other way too. It is soooooooooooo nasty. DIL called yesterday and said that they (the doctors) had just confirmed that Jake (gs) that came for visit this past weekend does have the H1N1 flu. How scary! He called me last night to see how I was feeling, unfortunately I was on the other phone, so he left me this message: "Nana, this is Jake. Just wanted to say thanks for giving me the flu." Then he laughed and said; "Just kidding, NANA. Hope you are feeling better." LOL...What a silly goose! I called him back and told him that he and his mom gave it to me.

Today is an extra special day at Paperthreads, my fellow designer and dear sweet friend Shirley has turned another year OLDER today. Be sure to stop by Shirley's blog or Paperthreads to wish her a "Happy Birthday". Oh and I just noticed that she has a birthday FREEBIE for you and she is having a SALE. OMG---what better two words go together then that--FREEBIE and SALE in the same sentence. Waa hooooo!

Ok, better end cause my meds are kicking in.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Anyone want

the FLU bug? YUCK....well went to the doctors yesterday and was tested for the flu and of course just my luck it came back positive. Haven't felt good since Sunday and just kept getting worse. Tuesday was a really bad day and night and finally hubby said that I had to go. When I woke up I felt like 2 mack trucks had collided with my body and my throat was on major fire, ear killing me and a major major headache. My glands were so swollen. Eeeeewwwww...that swabbie thing that they do up both nostrils is the pits. Felt like they were gonna poke out my eyes. It didn't really hurt----just a real bad tickle. Then you sneeze a gazillion times after that. Wait 11 minutes for the results. Walked out with a prescription for Tamiflu and orders to drink, drink, drink and rest, rest, rest.

What really sucks is that I have been so excited about not being sick since I had my surgery 2 years ago. Now I have been sick twice in a month and half. Guess I'm making up for lost time. Hopefully when I'm over this----this will be it.

When my grandkids and DIL came this past weekend they went home sick. DIL hasn't worked all week and the school called for her to pick up Jake around lunchtime yesterday. His fever was 103. Poor baby. He's scheduled to go into the doctors this morning.

Any way---enough blah blah about me. Will be better soon. Sure does put a hamper on your plans though. I had a lot of things giong on this week that's not going to get done. Will play catch up this weekend.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and wash, wash, wash those hands.

My CDT

members have been working away. One of the "kewl" perks of being a designer is seeing everyones different takes on the files you create. Here are some that Debbie Wright and Sue Shaff have recently done. By clicking on the images or file name it will take you directly where they are located in my store.

FALL SPLENDOR

Fall Splendor

We all know by now just how much Sue loves to scrap those photos of her darling GS-Clay. Well this l/o is no different! Sue has said it better than I could. She states: "Jenette's Fall Splendor just seems to capture the essence of autumn. Pumpkins, corn stalks, falling leaves...the whole kit and caboodle!" I, like Sue just love the beauty that fall brings into our lives this time of year. I feel that she totally showed that in this l/o.

SPOOKTACULAR FACES

Spooktacular Faces

I think Sue definately was thinking outside the box when she created this decoration for her scarecrow. Here, Sue used her pen tool to draw the faces, cut then out, colored them in and taped them together so that she could place them around the bottom base of her scarecrow fall decorations.

Thank You

Thank You Card

When I designed this card, I wasn't thinking about Christmas. However Debbie was when she made her version of the card. WOW--I think her choice of color combiations are gorgeous. She took a simple card and made it elegant.

Daisy Frame

Daisy Frame

Debbie stole my heart on this one!

Talk about perfect file....if you look closely you can see her Spinone Italiano named Maggie sniffing the daisies. (great pose) She used chalks and embossing on the flowers and yellow stickles in the daisy centers of the frame.

Great job as always ladies!

The weekend is...

almost here. My GKs and DIL are coming for a visit. YEAH!!!! I always look forward to seeing my little munchkins. Oh and my DIL too. She's a sweetie.

I have been busy trying to reorganize my crop room area. Geesh...talk about a lot of stuff. I could easily open up a scrapbook/craft store and not have to purchase a thing to sale. Just use what I have in my stash. I have come to the conclusion that I am definately a "collector" at this point and not a user. LOL

I was thinking that I need to come up with some kewl contests and give some of my stash goodies away as a prizes. How about we start right now? The first 10 people to email me with some contest ideas will received a goodie bag. It will be a hodge podge of goodies that I will put together. THEN I will have a drawing for a "bigger" prize. That winner will be chosen from all the entry ideas. I must receive your emailed ideas by this Sunday, the 18th by midnight EST time. Winners will be announced on Monday. For my over the pond friends, do to postage cost your prize will be your choice of 3 files from a list.

Please email me at: jcarson182@sc.rr.com and be sure to place in the SUBJECT LINE: Contest Ideas.

Have a great day!

Exciting News!!!

Well I shared with you guys the other day that I had some exciting news that I would be sharing as soon as I got it finalized. Well it's finalized!!! LOL

You know that all the designers here have a Creative Design team. Well over the last year and half, mine kept getting smaller and smaller instead of growing. LOL They were so good at what they do, that they too became a Designer for Paperthreads. So, as I have been trying to regroup and get back on track now that I have my gazillion conversions finally done and up in the store, I began searching to start building up my team again.

I am so PROUD and EXCITED to announce that Sue Shaff, aka barracudasue has joined my Creative Design team. Sue and her work are very well know throughout the Paperthreads world. Sue is also on the CDT of Sam and Hailey Designs (Jan), Shirley Clark Designs (Shirley) and Carrie's Designs (Carrie). I am looking forward to working with Sue.

Below is a little bio of Sue and a great pic of her and her little "Chunky Monkey" Clay.

Sue's Bio

Hello there, I am Sue Shaff but you all probably know me better as "barracudasue" on the Paperthreads Forum. My beloved craft robo has given me such joy that I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoy my machine. My DH is the one who surprised me with it on my birthday three years ago and I'm kind of thinking he may be regretting it because all my free time is spent in my craft room. LOL JUST KIDDING, he's very understanding and then if I'm in there, I'm out of his hair. LOL We have an 80 acre farm in Indiana that includes 30+ outside cats and our two little inside dogs...Muffin and Otis, fondly referred to as "Princess" and "Bubby". They are a poodle and SOMETHING mix so at 8 lbs. each, there's not much of them to care for...although, they both seem to turn into St. Bernard's when we go to bed. Since they sleep with us, my DH and I seem to give them MOST of the bed. LOL I have two darling grandchildren, of course, you all know Clay from my Gallery pictures and then I have a DGD in Texas. I also crochet, do flower arrangements, sew, and make a mess in my craft room. ROFLOL My son, Michael and my DIL, Kristy and my DGD, Haley are the ones who live in Texas. My DD, Nicki, my SIL, Tim and my Chunky Monkey, Clay live in Indiana. To wrap things up here, I'm honored that Jenette has asked me to join her design team. I humbly accepted with much anticipation!

Sue & her "Chunky Monkey" Clay

Sue, on behalf of my other CDT members and myself "WELCOME". We are all looking forward to working with you.

So -- did you have a chance to check out my NEW files yet in the store? Aren't they really cool? There's this one really neat file that I am in the process of working on. I think it's going to be a fun one. There will be many different takes on how it can be used.

Well better get back to work. Oh----be sure to check back tomorrow for some more exciting stuff.

Have a great day!
