Today is

awesome!!! The weather is really nice. We got back from our Charleston/Savannah trip last night. Boy I am jealous that Lori McDonald lives in such a fabulous place like Savannah. We did the tourist thing and ate dinner at Paula Deans rest."Lady and Sons". Talk about a "Southern Cooking". Hubby said that is was yummy. Unfortunately for me since my surgery I can't eat stuff like that anymore. I did sample his fried chicken tho. It was pretty good. If anyone is every looking for some place to vacation I would highly recommend Savannah. It welcomes you with great "Southern" charm.

Was just dropping in for a quick post. Hubby and I are finally getting around to planting some Spring flowers. Sure hope they survive. We are still under a mild watering band here in Georgia.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Hubby and I are away for the weekend so I won't be on the computer much. Will try to check in.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I'm BACK......

finally. I have been a busy little bee. Buzzing around here and there. I know by now that you have realized that I have been MIA. I've kinda been dropping in here and there. LOL...More like there. SORRY!

Ginny and I are finally almost done with converting her files. In case you haven't realized it yet, she has a boat load (more like a tanker load) of files. It's hard to believe that she has only been doing this for like 7 months or so. In case you haven't found her in the Paperthreads store, here's her link Ginny's Happy Cuts. Be sure to tell her that I told you to stop by. Never know what it might get you. LOL.... While there be sure to visit Butterfly Designs in the store as well as all the other awesome designers.

Ok, so I promised the last time I blogged that I had a BIG announcement. Well is has grown bigger than just big, it's now HUGE..............

Over the last few weeks I have not only been working diligently helping Ginny, but also working to make Butterfly Designs bigger and better for all of you. Is the suspense killing you. LOL Ok enough is enough here you go.

My Creative Design Team has grown by leaps and bounds.I am extremely PROUD to announce the following NEW MEMBERS. Please join me in WELCOMING.....

Okay, a little about me...

I'm a happily married (almost 14 years) stay at home mom of four kids, a nephew, an old dog, and multiple reef tanks.
I love to create things. I started drawing with my first mechanical pencil in second grade. I still have that very pencil and it is my weapon of choice when it comes to drawing things. As I moved into different seasons of my life, like motherhood, creating was put aside. Then a few years back (5-6), I ran into a Close To My Heart consultant at church. I realized that stamping was a good substitute for drawing and was immediately hooked. I started out with cards, but the got brave and did some layouts. I love scrapbooking, the act of telling the story of my family, or children using their pictures as illustrations really took hold. As time passed I added different dimensions to my paper play, I love using the computer to create or embellish things, and then I found out about the Wishblade! I managed to get myself hooked on that too!

Now I incorporate stamps (and varying techniques), computer, and my Wishblade into my paper play! When I'm not playing with paper (or being taxi, dishwasher, play gym, nurse, teacher, etc...) then I love to read. I've developed a huge appetite for books thanks to JK Rowling! I'm also working on "painting" my bathroom. I got brave and did a mural on part of the walls and the door. I've never tried anything like this before, and I'm amazed and pleased with the results. It's not finished yet, but it's getting there!

So, that's me in a nutshell!

Little about myself...

I'm soon to be 52, married to "H" (Howard) for 32+ yrs. We have a son & daughter, both are married, have one granddaughter and another grandbaby on the way. In addition to our kids, we have four fur kids as I call them. 2 Spinone Italiano's and 2 English Pointers all hunt. We live in the southern most part of NJ near the shore & have property up in Ontario, Canada. I'm a nurse by trade but after 15 yrs of geriatric nursing, I had enough. So now I'm a part-time secretary for an adult evening school (no stress and love it), during the summer I help our son-in-law out in the take-out fish store section of his restaurant. Next year hopefully I'll be babysitting instead of doing take-out!

My hobbies are many and know that I drive my hubby nuts with all that I do. To name a few, painting, drawing, jewelry making, use to teach hobby ceramics, our fur kids, collect nutcrackers, am a moderator/guide on PassPorter.com a Disney travel related site which helps curb my Disney addiction :-), stained glass and recently been bit by a paper bug :-). I started off with getting a pink WB which opened up new doors to the scrapbook & card making world. Since then, I've invested in a KNK element and know someday I'll upgrade to a bigger machine but for now this works.

Can honestly say that I've been having a ball with the designer files that I've obtained from Paperthreads and am thrilled beyond words to have been asked by Jenette Carson & Shirley Clark to be a part of their creative design teams. Thank You!!!

A little about me:

I have been scrapbooking for almost 10 years. I truly enjoy the craft! Before getting into scrapbooking I have dabbled in just about all aspects of crafting from cross stitch to decorative painting. I think that is why I love Scrapbooking so much since it involves many aspects of crafting...I can incorporate my love for painting, buttons you name it..anything goes well on a scrapbook page. I have recently started designing cards too! It is great to have a handmade card to give to someone instead of spending all that money on store bought not so personalized cards! I am just starting to delve into digital scrapbooking too and hope to mix some digital elements into my traditional scrapbook pages.

I purchased my digital cutter as a impulse buy when I saw the infomercial on QVC around Sept 2007. This was a scary thing for me to spend so much money on a thing that simply cuts paper. However, I am so glad I made the purchase. It has enriched my life so much! I can't image living without it! I even have started designing my own files for sale at Cuttersmarket. I am also loving all the people I am meeting through my cutter groups!
I have two adorable children...a 11month old baby girl and a 4 year old boy. They keep me busy but life would be so boring without them! I love them and my hubby of almost 11 years more than words can express.

Eddita's BIO
(sorry don't have pic)

I am happily married to my DH who unwittlingly purchased a KNK for me for Christmas and now is starting a support group for spouses who have lost their significant others to this "obsession".

I am also a mom to 5 and Nana to 2 sweet little girls. I have always been creating something from as far back as I remember. The craft gene runs strong in my family!

I owned my own stained glass studio for 10+ years and would display my work at sci-fi conventions as well as arts and crafts shows. I always travel with a small notebook where I can make a quick sketch for a future project.

I enjoy sewing, jewelry making including creating chainmaille. I have always enjoyed making, sending and receiving "homemade" cards. I keep everyone I receive as I love to see how they are made and appreciate all of the love and time it took a person to create for me.

Margaret and Vicki have been working with me for a few months now:

Margaret's BIO

Mom remember when we … is the reason I started scrapbooking. I wanted a way we could all remember the things we have done, the good times and also the bad, the way things have changed, and the way life goes on. I started scrapbooking long before there were scrapbook stores. I used what little I could find and did a lot of painting and drawing on my pages. Wow… have things have changed.

I have a wonderful family, a daughter, 28 who loves scrapbooking as much as I do, a son 23 who sends me pictures all the time that he would like to have in his album, and a terrific husband that supports me in whatever I do. I also have a 1 year old grandson that is already use to me taking pictures all the time. I have an outstanding group of friends that keep motivated and inspired. What more could I ask for?

Vicki

Vicki's BIO

I have been married for 23 years, has 3 grown daughters and 7 grandchildren ranging in age from 16 years to 5 months. Charlie, who just turned 7, loves to do paper crafts with “Mimi” and has his own album just for his drawings and things that he makes. Cutting and pasting are two of his favorite things to do.

I have done several types of crafting through the years from sewing to handmade Christmas ornaments and cards. In recent years I worked as a Professional Photographer doing primarily children’s portraits or NRHA & NRBC Equestrian Events for a local doctor who is also an Equine Chiropractor. I have also worked with Logo Design, Brochure Design, Advertising Design & Web Design.

In 1998 a friend introduced me to Creative Memories Scrapbooks and it was LOVE at first sight. I love the convenience and ease of purchasing files from designers rather than making my own. The Wishblade is a great expansion of my already acquired tools for Scrapping!

As you can see, I have so much to be excited about. Having each and everyone of these wonderful ladies on board is a total blessing. I will be posting their work here on my blog and well in my Gallery.

Be sure to check back DAILY for some more exciting news. YES, I am trying to catch up on all the announcements. LOL

Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

FINALLY......

I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Have you missed me? I've missed all of you. Well I know that I have been missing in action for almost a month and a half. SORRY!!!! I have been busy helping out a fellow new designer over at Paperthreads named Ginny Harvery. Ginny is the proud designer of Ginny's Happy Cuts. If you haven't had a chance to stop by and check out her fabulous designs at Paperthreads, please do so. They are a real treat. She has a gazillion files. We almost have all of them converted. While there be sure to check out all the other designers files as well as my own.

I'm sorta playing hooky right now. Trying to get some things done so that I can get back on track designing and blogging again. I have a few new files that should be up in the store in the next few days. Will post here to give you guys a sneak peek prior to putting them in the store, so be sure to check back.

I should have some wonderful news to share with you all after the weekend. Just trying to tie up some loose ends, then I will make the announcement.

Thanks to everyone who has been faithful in stopping by daily to read my post. I have received numerous emails from people wanting to make sure that I was ok. Hopefully I will be back on track next week. I am trying to put together some exciting ideas and fun things here. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please feel free to drop me an email at jcarson166@comcast.net.

Have a wonderful day!

11 February

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

for all the wonderful BIRTHDAY WISHES and kinds words that all of you have shared with me today. I have been so touched by them all.

I have received so much positive feedback from the sale that I offered yesterday celebrating my birthday. It was my pleasure to be able to offer the large discount. I felt that it was the least that I could do for you guys as a THANK YOU for your support. If it wasn't for each of you, myself or the other designers would not have a reason to do what we enjoy doing, and that is designing.

I can honestly say that I have received more emails today from people that I have never had any contact with. They ALL have touched me deeply in so many different ways. As a designer, its nice to hear feedback from what you do. It makes the time and effort that is put into the file designs so worth it.

Michelle emailed and said that the sale was a huge success. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I'm truly glad that so many of you were able to take advantage of the sale. Can't wait to see pictures in the GALLERY over at Paperthreads of the projects that you used the file designs on.

I would like to say once again, FRIENDS, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
