Paperthreads E-Zine was released!

Just an FYI, on Saturday, we sent the latest edition of the E-Zine out!

The new system we are using to send it out is WAY more efficient and the delivery rate is near 100% on it.

so, if you CONFIRMED your email address to the new list sometime in the last 3 weeks, and you DID not get your newsletter, please check your SPAM or JUNK mail folders, as most likely that is where it is setting!

If that is where it is setting, then it's because you need to add newslist@paperthreads.com to your address book with your email program, so that your email program recognizes it as an "approved" sender.

It's once again jammed full of some goodies...so make sure you take a few moments to CHECK IT OUT!!

There are a couple great techniques listed in there, as well as some links that were shared in the forum to some great Font resources!

The freebie files will only be available for about 4 more days, and then they go up in the store for sale, so jump over and grab 'em while you can!

They just announced the 13" KNK SF

Well...they made the announcement today! The KNK 13", new model is now available for sale!

This new machine wont' have all the bells and whistles as the new KNK Maxx...but it will have some of the new features, enough to make this a wonderful new machine!!

The new 13" machine will have 800 grams of pressure! It will also have the more aggressive grit shaft, which helps in preventing slippage/skewing. It's faster than the original models, and has the new and improved blade jaw, allowing it to fit SEVERAL different blade holders and pen tips.

It won't be shipping until mid-late January....

Busy Couple weeks....

Well, it's been a busy couple of weeks, and I'm finally starting to feel like I'm catching up!

I had to do a lot of cutting on my machine last week, first to make a journal for one of the members of my daughters Cross country team. They draw names each year to give a small gift, and we gave her team mate a Princess Castle journal, made from the Princess Castle File by Carries Creations.

Here's a picture of the finished project, which I cut on Crafty Board (chipboard) and then covered with colormates paper.

Then, once that project was completed, I then went and took their school mascot, and cut a board book journal for each of the coaches, and then one similar to the coaches one, except, I cut those from colormates (I made 28 of them in all)! Here are the pictures of those journals!

EVERYONE that was on the newsletter list should have received an email, asking you to confirm that you want to be on the mail list. In order to receive the newsletter, you MUST confirm your address to this new list (the only thing I was able to do is input everyone's email that was currently subscribed, but it's up to you to confirm and accept this newsletter subscription)

Word Welding in KNK Studio

In the comments, Shirley asked that I show some basic welding in KNK Studio....she is such a die hard Illustrator fan, that I decided that I should do the word welding tutorials, so she can see how easy it is to do it in the KNK Studio program! For all you Illustrator fans...no worries, I have a video I'll be releasing for you on how to word weld in Illustrator too...so that will be coming soon!

Things are starting to get back to a regular routine around here, as the kids have completed their first full day of school! Now, this year, since I'm not carpooling, i have to remember to pick my son up every day after school....not so easy when you get so absorbed in your tasks...so I set the alarm on my cell phone and on my outlook on my computer, so I am reminded daily!
