Hi my name is Chrissie aka Rugersmum.

Originally I am from Cumbria the home, in my opinion, to the most beautiful part of the UK “the Lake District" but have now worked in London and lived in Middlesex since 1999. I live with my partner Patrick, our dog Ruger and our cats Emily and Dexter not to mention that ever morphing mountain of crafting stash.

I have been involved with crafting since being taught to knit, sew & crochet at a very early age by my dear nana.  However, the last ten years, has seen me turn to paper crafting designing my own handmade greetings cards and then after being asked by a work colleague if I could design her wedding stationery progressed to creating my own range of wedding stationery. 

In November 2007 I discovered the Craft ROBO with an idea that I could use it to cut my keepsake book cards and toppers for my cards. But I instantly got caught up in the whole design process and have never looked back - all I need now is more time in each day to fit everything in. I even bought a mini laptop so my design software was at hand during my daily boring and crowded 3 hour commute to and from work so I could get my ideas straight into digital format instead of doodling on endless scraps of paper when ideas pop into my head.. 

My most recent purchase was the Pazzles Inspiration as I wanted something to cut thicker and larger medium so also now can design using Funtime.

I would just like to say that I am so looking forward to getting to know you all at Paperthreads and am so thrilled to be part of the Design team.
