From the time I was a child, I have always been crafting in one way or another. One of my favorite memories from elementary school art class was drawing Winnie the Pooh on a piece of canvas and then dripping melted crayons in the right areas to create a “Masterpiece”! I took art all through school and then into college so the smell of linseed oil was never too far away.
I was very lucky to be able to stay home with my children when they were little and during that time I owned my own Stained Glass Business where I did many craft shows as well as private commissions. While I still own all my tools, I only pull them out now for the occasional request or gift giving item.
My children are all grown up and gone so now my home is filled with the pitter patter of my 2 furry kids: Toby & Daisy. They don’t listen or behave any better than my 2 legged kids did and they sure keep me on my toes!
I enjoy all types of crafting including, but not limited to, knitting, jewelry making, wire wrapping, glass bead making with a torch, cross stitching, working with Fimo, and paper crafts. Everything pales though in comparison to creating files with my cutting machine!
I am also so lucky to be happily married to the most wonderful man I know. He is the one who did all of the research, and was able to make a good decision on what he thought I would enjoy the most, thanks to all of the great information and comparison chart Michelle has available at the Paperthreads forum. He still rues the day he purchased my KNK as he says he never really sees me anymore LOL!
I just want to thank Michelle and Everyone who have been so wonderful and helpful to me since the first day I joined. As I continue to learn and grow, I will try to do my best to share and give something back. From the beginning, my dream has been to be able to be part of the great group of designers here on Paperthreads, and now that dream has come true!
I look forward to sharing, laughing, and creating for a long time to come!
