Cutting Instructions
All of my cutting files are available in four different formats.
AI: for use with Illustrator, w/ Illustrator Bridge and Wishblade, CraftRobo, Silhouette Machines.
WPC: files for use with the Pazzles, WinPCSign, or Funtime software.
GSD: files for use with Wishblade, CraftRobo (Robomaster), CraftRobo Pro II, or Silhouette.
KNK: files are for use with the KNK machines (to includeALL Models), can also be used with the KNK Studio GE software, cutting directly to the Wishblade, CraftRobo, Silhouette machines. To use the files, open the cutting program for your machine. Then, simply select the file you would like to use by going to File/Open, and browsing for the folder where you saved the file. Then, browse for the file format for the software that you are using. Double click to open the file. (If you are using the WPC format, it is very important to open your cutting program first and then open the WPC file. You will not be able to double click on the file in Windows Explorer to open it.)
Pazzles, Funtime, or WinPCSign users go to the Cutting Panel in the center of the top tool bar and click on the icon that looks like a cutting blade. Click on the color you wish to cut from the paper currently in your cutter. If you wish to select more than one color, hold the Shift key down while selecting all of the line colors you wish to cut. Set the pressure and cutting speeds in the appropriate windows in the Cutting Control Panel, and click on Start when you are ready to begin cutting.
Wishblade and Craft Robo users need to select cut lines by going to File>Output Settings. Then click on the Cutting Settings Tab, and select Cutline Settings. Click on the line color(s) you wish to cut. If you want to cut any of the lines as dashed lines, click on the arrow to the right of the colors to select dashed lines.
Illustrator Bridge: If you are cutting directly from Illustrator using the Illustrator bridge then you need to go to FILE > WISHBLADE, and choose settings, or FILE > CRAFTROBO and choose settings.
From Pazzles to CraftRobo: To cut using directly from the Pazzles software to your CraftRobo, use File/Print, and select your cutter as the printer. Select Preferences and choose the desired settings from that window.
KNK: Open up your KNK program and then open the file that you are wishing to cut.
All lines displayed as DASHED are meant to be cut as a dashed line. All lines that are red are to be cut as dashed as well. This is very important in the KNK files as you must set the cutter to cut pounce lines each and every time you cut! All yellow lines are NOT to be cut UNLESS you own a machine that is capable of cutting wider than 7.75”. They are there for demonstration purposes only. This is very important in the GSD files, WPC files for the Pazzles Mini and the KNK files for the Element as these lines are outside the area the Wishblade, Craftrobo, Pazzles Mini and Element can cut. You will need to cut these manually with a paper trimmer. PLEASE make sure you check your cutline settings before cutting!
