Michelle Hessler - Paperthreads
Michelle Hessler, aka Paperthreads Designs, is the owner of the store and forum. She has had a passion for crafts and projects ever since she was a young child, doing things such as cross stitch, plastic canvas, quilling, and other knick knack crafts. Then, she explored a little bit of painting, on wood cutouts and ceramics. Making ornaments and other items to sell at craft fairs.
Michelle is married with 2 kids. Her husband is in the United States Air force, and they are enjoying a four year tour of duty without deployments! He has less than 2 years left in the military, and then they will have to decide what to do from there. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, and a Master's Degree in Business with a concentration on Information Technology.
When they moved spring 2005 to Michigan, she decided to take some time away from work and work on projects around the house. That quickly grew her already obsessive paper hobbies of scrapbooking and cardmaking. She got her first electronic based diecut machine in Ocober 2005, and after much new user frustration, realized a need to work with the cutter community in sharing tips and information. She was able to learn how to use her machine, and how to add other programs in making the most of her machines capabilities. Through others questions in the cutter community, she was able to start compiling information and tips for othr users and host it on her website business which she had begun originally in 2003.
She started out by wanting to host a site that was user friendly and helpful for all owners for the personal die cut machines. So, she expanded her website (which already contained many of her own designs and tutorials) to include file sharing.
The passion continued to grow from there! To this day the site continues to have phenominal growth, gaining about 100 new members a month! It is her hope with the sales of the products in the store that we will be able to self support and grow the site, to make it one of the TOP sites for Die Cutters around the world!
At Paperthreads, customer service a top priority, and as a sole business owner, Michelle works many hours thorugh the week, making sure that her customers get the help they need in setting up and running their machines! The quickest way to reach her or get help is to join the Paperthreads Forum Community and ask your questions!
