I have saved as DFX, exported as DFX. When I load the graphic starts to load, but then the computer seems to lockup.

Yes, but you have to explain to me the steps you took to save it as a DXF, and what happened on your screen when you saved it?

This can be one of several things, so I need more detailed information on the steps you took....and what if any happens on the screen.

it could be you didnt' get the trace lines on there, and are just trying to save a regular image.
it could be that your save feature is not functioning
it could be that you are missing or adding a step that prevents if from saving correctly...

a number of things....so I need more detail, then we can trouble shoot from there!

1. Opened jpg file in inkscape
2. Path - Trace bitmap - brightness, preview image, image ok
3. Click ok
4. Select file to save, file name (ALABAMA_CRIMSON_TIDE5.jpg) - (Location F:\My Pictures/EBAY CUTS)
5. Save as - ALABAMA_CRINSON_TIDE.DFX
6. Open ROBOMASTER
7. Click load DFX
8. Open (Location F:\My Pictures/EBAY CUTS) ALABAMA_CRINSON_TIDE.DFX
9. Click on ALABAMA_CRINSON_TIDE.DFX
10. Click open

Get a grey screen and hour glass as if file is trying to load, but file never loads, have waited 2-3 minutes nothing, finally I just shut down, Im using WIN XP HOME EDITION SERVICE PAK 2

Thanks. That helps a little bit more! Few more questions for you...

1. After you trace, are you deleting your original jpg image, and just keeping the path lines on the screen.

2. When you save the file, are you typing in .dxf as the file extension, or are you changing the file type in the drop down menu on the bottom right of that save menu?

3. After you hit OK to save the file, describe to me what happens on the screen.

4. Look in your file folder. Tell me what "size" the saved DXF file is??

5. Have you ever been able to successfully use Inkscape to trace the image/text and load the created DXF file in Robomaster, or is this the only time you've had a problem?

6. finally....go back, do everything your supposed to do, then, this time, save the file as a SVG file, and attach it here....or email it to me, so I can take a look at it to see if I can locate the problem.
