Ok am I ever becoming addicted to my wish! I was noticing some files that the letters/words are connected. I was under the understanding you had to use inkscape or another program to make these work like they are connected. If I open a file and the word is connected does it cut as such since that is how the file was made even if I do not use inkscape yet?

Yes, once the letters have been converted in Inkscape, your gsd file treats them as any other shape. So they are not actually "letters" anymore and will cut connected just fine.
It is well worth downloading the Inkscape and Robomaster programs. They are free and after you work through the tutorial you will be delighted with what you can create!! It may sound difficult when you first read it, but believe me, after you have done it a couple or three times, you won't have to look at your notes again. It is just a few simple steps...the Robo part is just to convert the file to gsd and just takes a couple of clicks. And if you have any questions...someone here will always help!!
Merry Christmas and happy cutting!!

Sally,
TY kindly for the reply. I was actually playing with a version I downloaded as we speak. I think something is wrong as the buttons are greyed out and I get an error as I tinker. I am hands on sort of learner but scanning the manual sent with it.
I was really hoping you would say they would print. There is one I really am itching to use and must admit I was nervous. I have had issues with my wish and they sent me another blade set which solved the problem. The one they sent with the machine was not too good :)
Best to you, Merry Christmas my Friend

I meant to mention that the tutorials here on this forum are the best I have found. Be sure you download them and work through them...then you will understand stuff a lot better. There is one specifically for Print and Cut. And the ones for Inkscape make it really easy to create connected words and mats.
