Need Inkscape Help!!!

When I try to change the font type and size, I can't get the apply button to come on. What am I doing wrong?!?

Do you have your text selected by clicking with the arrow or are you still in the text (typing) mode? Your text should be surrounded by arrows, then click the Text on the tool bar at the top, then Text and Font from the drop-down menu. Then you should be able to "Apply"

I have done this before, forgotten to go and click the Arrow on the left toolbar...so try this and see if it works.
Post again if it doesn't work and say what steps you have done so we can try to help.

sometimes this happens when Inkscape doesn't like a font...and you just can never get that font to work in the program. The makers are aware of the problem, but there has been no solution at this point.

The arrows were the problem. Knew it had to be something simple - I was working on one of the tutorials. Thanx for the help
