Hello everyone, I thought it was time to introduce myself as I have been quietly wandering around this amazing site for a while now, but keeping a low profile as I still have a lot to learn about my new Craft Robo and its capabilities.
I received the CR as a surprise Christmas present from my husband, and I have to admit that when I unwrapped it my first thought was how could I get him to take it back to wherever he got it from without hurting his feelings.Â* (How ungrateful is that)?!Â* However, days went by and after the 300th time of him asking if I was ever going to plug it in and get it working, I decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did.
Whoever said thatÂ* you can't teach an old dog new tricks must have been mad!Â* With the help of the very kind people on this website who give up their precious time to provide us with easy to follow tutorials, answer everyone's questions and post their creative designs, I no longer fear the machine and I have learned to do things that a couple of weeks ago were beyond my wildest dreams.
So, thank you for allowing me to participate, I hope to produce something that I can share with you in the future. In the meantime, my hat goes off to you all.

Welcome Jackie! I am so glad you are liking it here!

Wow, I am impressed with your hubby for finding out about the cutter and buying it for you for Christmas without you even asking for it! Kudos to him! I am glad you didn't take it back and that you are now here to learn at this wonderful site! You will be producing files before you know it!

Thank you Shirley. I'll tell my hubby that you are impressed with his initiative.

I just hope he doesn't live to regret it as I could spend all day and night here... I think he sometimes wonders when he's going to get his next meal! ;)

Jackie...I think we are all lucky that our hubbies don't realize ahead of time how this machine is going to take over our lives...LOL!! My hubby gave me mine for Christmas last year and now he comes in and says, "Aren't you ever going to get through with that???" NO!!! It is a never-ending fountain of creation, so I am always thinking of something new I want to try.

Welcome to the forum...we are glad you found us!!

Thank you Sally, for the welcome note.
There certainly are not enough hours in the day for us "crafty" people. I totally agree with what you say about the never-ending fountain of creation, it sure has opened up a whole new world for me.

Yeah for you and for your hubby to be so wonderful! We are all quite jealous! Most of our hubby's don't get that we could really use these wonderful tools, so we just go out and get it ourselves! Usually on the "sly"...lol
