print and cut files

I purchased the posey cuts file from this site and when I go to cut it says can't read the reg. marks. to uncheck the search reg. marks box and move the tip into the green, itried and it still does not cut properly what can I do? Can this file be fixed or can I somehow redo it and make new reg. marks all other print and cuts seem to work ok. Thanks in advance for your help

I don't know if this will help you, but when I had that problem, I was cutting on dark paper and the WB couldn't read my registration marks. When I switched to lighter paper, it cut. Hope this helps.

First thing, I NEVER try to manually find them, just never works for me...

On that note, I did get your email, I have been unbelievably swamped this month, and haven't had a chance to get back! But here is my response anyway...

1. AT what point did it not read your registration marks?? Did it read the first one, but not the second, first one, second one, but not the third, or didn't even get past the first one??

2. KNOWing this part of the process, you can then use our Registration Marks Trouble shooting guide, it was posted in December Newsletter, and also in this thread...make sure you go through it!!!

Thanks so much for getting back with me, I figured you were all swamped between here and the wishblade yahoo group. Manually is not working for me either! LOL It seems to read the first one and then is not able to read the second does not even go to the third on at all. I have tried changeing the reg. mark settings and then the printer does not want to print. I will go throught these instructions and see if I can figure it out if not these pretty little flowers are easy enough to just cut. I love that file so it is not a loss for me at all, just though I was doing something wrong. All the other print and cuts I have got from you work fine and cut beautifully. Thanks again for all you ladies have been doing to help all of us with our new toys:D

Thanks so much, after I looked at the picture I could tell the #2 reg. mark was not inside of the roller so I just adjusted the paper on the mat and then it worked like a champ, I am doing the happy dance here !!!! Thanks again Paperthreads staff:D :D :D

if you ever hear of anyone having problems with their registration marks/print and cuts.....pleaseplease pleaseplease refer them to that guide! IT REALLY is pretty thorough, and I think would help anyone solve their problem :)

(It was a compilation of 2 years of working with that optical eye! And Jules and I noting and re-noting what works and doesn't work!)

I HAVE NEVER DONE A PRINT AND CUT..... never!!!

Hmmmmmm- might just have to check that out!!!! LOL
