Have you looked at the comparison chart? It has some great information on it! http://www.paperthreads.com/newsletter/Febraury2007/machine_comparisons.htm
Hope it helps you!

There are some big differences between the Robo Pro and the KNK.
The software for the KNK enables you to do everything you need to create a file, it has more speed, it has more pressure, and if you are comparing the KNK 15" to the RoboPro, it has a way bigger cutting bed!
The Element will be available down under :) If you visit Fred's site, www.skatkatz.com.au he will be carrying the elements. As he purchases them in quantity and has them shipped to his company, he won't get them until they actually come in stock. So I imagine by the end of June he will have them.

thanx Michelle. I actually brought my robo from Fred and as he stocks the KNK i asked him the same question
He knows I sell titles on Ebay and part of his reply was: Althouigh it cuts chipboard, I would not recommend buying it if you want to do lots of chipboard diecuts to sell. The secret with cutting Chipboard with the KnK is having a sticky mat.so the chipboard does not move. Chipboard is quite fibrous and will use up the "stickiness" of the mat more quickly than the normal cardstock, so it can get expensive in replacing carrier sheets. Although you can creat you own for production purposes with the repositional spray.
as i make my own mats for my cr using quilters plastic and spray adhesive..if this is an option for KNK thats ok but if not i dont think i'd worry about it
sorry...last ?, i promise...lol...am i right in assuming the element is a smaller version, roughly robo size but has all the same capabilities as its big brother (cuts chipboard, same software etc)
thanx again for all your help Michelle, much appreciated
(and yes Shirley, I looked at the chart, thanx)

Yes, the only difference in the machine from the big one is the cutting width.
I use my own home made mats for it. In fact, the machines right now are distributed with 2 mats and a can of spray.
For the chipboard, I would recommend that you instead use PERMANENT spray adhesive, as it's stickier, and works better. I keep one mat with the permanent adhesive on it for things like that.

It's so large - I want it on one sheet.

On my computer I can go to the table, click on "print preview" on my browser and shrink it to about 30% (on landscape mode) and it all fits on 1 sheet!
Course whether it's readable or not! LOL!

Thanks - it doesn't print. It keeps getting hung up in the printer although no other docs do. I'll try printing at home tonight.
