View Full Version : Way OFF Topic...But Have To Share

OK, many of you know that about 4 weeks ago I had been waiting for
the repairman to come and fix the dishwasher, hotwater heater and
garbage disposal (at that time it was 4 days waiting). Well, he came
wrong part...came back wrong part...ordered the right part 2 weeks
ago and I haven't heard from him since. I finally got mad and called
someone else and they were out in 2 hours. Yep, 2 hours. He told me
that the motor was going out on the dishwasher and it would be $250
to fix. My reply was, "I can buy a new one for $300 to $400. Which
do think I choose to do...new one of course. I'm not stupid. Went
to Lowe's picked it out (spent $700 though) brought it home and 2
days later they are back out and installed the new one.

The disposal is fine just was the way the idiot installed the other
dishwasher that made it stink to high heaven. Also was the problem
that made the dishwasher go out to begin with...kinked hose.

The hotwater heater I will have to call a plumber on but that's OK.
It works, just is full of sedement (think I spelled wrong). Just
needs to be drained and we can't do it because it is to full. May
end up needing to replace but that's gonna have to wait. Just spent
$1500 to get the old dishwasher fixed wrongly and to buy the new one
plus a cabinet to install it with plus installation fee.

Can you tell I am mad at the first guy. I could have bought another
KNK for that price. Then I could be scared to run 2 of them. LOL
Oh, forgot to mention that when I took the car in today to get it fixed they
laughed at me. Yep, laughed. I don't think I am that funny. When your car
goes from 16 MPH to 12 MPH, something is wrong. Was also having a dumby
light come on and say that the doors are open when they aren't. He had the
nerve to say that all it needs is to be lubed. You don't lube a
light...again, I'm not stupid!!! Oh and to top it off the some light came
on and wouldn't go off. Again, him thinking I'm stupid, asked if I checked
the dome light switch to make sure it wasn't on. Me being (NOT Stupid) told
him that is the first thing I checked. I even mentioned something about NOY
being STUPID and I got a very go to &@$$ look. I'm sure you know the look
ladies.

Ok, someone please stop me. I am just so so so so so mad at the moment.
Good thing DH, DS and DD are not here. I would probably yell at them.

Well, better go and relax. As Jack Nicholson gets Adam Sandler to sing in Anger
Management...I feel pretty, oh so pretty. LOL

Sounds like our incident last summer. 110 degrees. the air conditioner guy comes out to fix it because it is cooling just is not cooling well and so there is obviously something wrong. He needs to come out and clean out the cool, scrape it down blah blah. supposed to be here at 10 a.m. shows up at 3 pm. works on it for an hour. pulls it apart. says oh I dont have any freon to put in it now that I am done. Someone will have to come back tomorrow. okay now no air conditioner at all with a two year old and a 13 year old dog who gets seizures in the heat and myself (with a mother who was born in Liverpool England and gets that weird pink color the minute I am hot and look like a cooking lobster.. the british genes..my mom tells me) the next morning no phone call, no air conditioner guy. no answering service nothng. well guess what it is the weekend. I get a call monday morning after 2 days of full on heat asking if we were happy with our service call on friday. so that lady was very sorry she called. Luckily we have an rv so the sunday night we plugged into the house and slept in it. Saturday night we left and went to the lake to get cooled down. Guy came out and fixed and I said. guess what Iam not paying it. he got mad at me for not telling him first so he didnt have to do the work. he calls the shop and I ended up paying for alot less then originally quoted and will never ever ever refer them and will let everyone know that there service is horrible. that saturday a.m. when i realized we werent going to hear from them. I ended up researching on the internet and calling the owner's house and emailing every email they had on their site leaving messages everywhere. when I talked to the owner about my bill. I said this is Chris Durnan. He said yes Mrs. Durnan I have heard your voice before including my home phone. I know who you are. He is lucky i couldnt find his address cause I woulda been visiting to stay in his air conditioned cooled home on a 110 day in the summer in arizona.

okay had to share. it is unbelieveable what some people consider service.

Yep, some people don't believe that the customer is always right. Sounds like you got them good though...good for you Chris. I have had to do that before also. DH dislocated his shoulder and the ambulance took us to the hospital. Once there, they sat him in a room in major pain and never came back in. 2 hours later he got up and checked himself out and we went to the other local hospital and we were in and out in about 2 hours. Never paid the bill for the first hospital.

Also DS had his tonsils taken out and given Codene for pain. He began to vomit shortly after getting him home. Called the surgeon and he said he had eaten to much. Funny thing is, he hadn't eaten anything. This continued through the night and the next morning I called our Dr. and he said to get to the emergency room ASAP. 6 hours later and an IV to rehydrate him our Dr. informed me he is allergic to Codene. Our Dr. called the surgeon and chewed him out up one side and down the other. Our Dr. told him that we wouldn't be paying his bill and not to even try to collect. LOVE our Dr...he even gave me his home and cell phone numbers.
