Hi, my name is Sarah and I purchased my Pink WB in May and it is still in the box. I am on summer break and am anxious to get started, but I don't know where to begin. I started reading different forums and learned that that the learning curve is difficult. I have been crafting for years, but scrappingbooking is new for me. I have done some things, but thought this machine would help me add the flare that I feel is missing. If there is someone that has the time to help me, please don;t hesitate.
Thanks in advance,
Sarah

Shirley is right....all that you need to get started is here in the tutorials or other threads. I printed out the tuts when I first got my WB and put them in a notebook for easy reference. And before you know it I was working without even having to look at them. I was afraid to do much with my WB until I found this forum and all the helpful people here. And if you get stuck on anything....just post here and someone will jump in to help you!
Welcome....

First step is to get it out of the box and load that software. Once you start you will enjoy!!

I second that! Diet coke and good chocolate are my favorite combination (why waste the calories on a reasonable tasting caffeine source when you can eat CHOCOLATE!)

Hi Sarah,
Scrapbooking can be overwhelming! Gosh it wasn't long ago that I took my first steps into a scrapbook store... I hesitated...almost walked out..then I slowly absorbed it.
The purchase of your wishblade was wise.. it will save you much time and money down the road.
I suggest getting some ideas to create a layout from our gallery. Look over the files in the forum to download for free.
Just work on one page, once you get some pages going you will be on your way.
It takes time to build this confidence... I just started scrapbooking two years ago... and then had a few months their that I couldn't scrap...
Let us know how it's going....
If you need any help you can email anyone of us... through the forum or our blog..
Thanks for sharing with us!

I was reading the forum just now and saw your post. Girly, I can feel your pain!! Not so very long ago I was new to wishblading and this forum and the moderators saved my life. I take time every day just to sit back and read the help and get a few laughs here. And, to be sure, the moderators know my nic WELL! hahaha, so just take a breath, make mistakes, laugh, and enjoy the entire experience. This is the best site there is for help. You are way ahead by just logging in here. Now, I'm the envy of all my scrapbooking friends....hahahaha so I got the last laugh after all. And to think, I almost kicked my computer, pulled out my hair, and gained 10lbs. eating chocolates. Welcome, sweetie and if you need help , just ask for it..they rock here!!!

I use my old blue Wishblade for making custom names...whatever size I want, and on the patterned paper I choose. I love to make titles that coordinate with the paper I'm using for my layout. Shapes are so much fun, too. I got some cool scalloped shapes off this forum and have created a few myself, the ones you can buy from WB are too involved, I think...and not custom to my exact needs. If I were you, I'd go ahead and make a 3" "S" monogram to see how it works. You're going to love it.
