 Hello again
I am trying to print a winnie the pooh dingbat in Illustrator and use reg marks to cut it out, but poor pooh got cut into a million pieces! How can I stop this. Actually, I did not manage to print and cut in illustrator, couldn't figure that out either, but did it in CR. Anyone know how to just cut around the object, and not every single line/path?
Thanks
Lea

My first thought is... if it is a piece of cliaprt lots of times you have to clean them up for cutting. As in join lines, get rid of lots of extra paths etc. I think when you go to cut you have have just the outer image and when you go to print you have to have the whole image. I think there is a tutorial in the forum about print and cuts that might help. if you pulled a piece of clipart alot of times clipart is setup for printing, but not cleaned up enough for cutting and may be in lots of different pieces. Without seeing the file it is hard to tell what is happening.
Hope that helps somehow!! Cause it sounds like it is rambling to me.. good luck.
Enjoy!

I'm sure there's a more graceful (read that - correct) way to do it but you could type the dingbat in illustrator or in photoshop and then save it as a jpg. You can then insert the jpg into robomaster and use the autotracae function to trace the outline. The problem with "cutting" the dingbat in illustrator or cr is that if you just output it like text it will be cutting on every single line used to draw the dingbat...not just the outline. You can type it into illustrator and convert to outlines and then look at your layers and see just how many paths there are.
