Problems with silhouette or Craft Robo?

hello, I'm new here and came here basically to find out what machine to buy (or to ask DH to buy me :D). I'm really hesitating between the Silhouette and the Craft Robo (II), because I've read they can do the same, apart from downloading the QK files, but that doesn't interest me, as loads of free files are to be found.
For me, the most important differences between the 2 are the price and the warrenty... CR is about 80$ more expensive (I'm in Europe) but has a year warrenty, whereas the Sil is cheaper but has only 3 months warrenty.

Soooo, what I basically would like to know, if whether there are often problems with (both) the machines that makes you use the warrenty? Is it worth spending 80$ more for the warrenty?

For myself, I like the security of the warranty, but many people have bought the Silhouette and as far as I know has had good luck with the machine. Any Silhouette owners want to speak up?

I have a Craft Robo and had to send mine to be fixed once during the warranty period and that was at about the 11 month mark so I'm really glad it had a one year warranty.

Personally, I would go for the warranty also. My computer went caput about 3 weeks before the warranty ended.

Yeah it did really suck as I use it for my business and it took about 2 - 3 weeks by the time I got it back (including shipping time). So I went and bought a second CR so I had a backup. Now I use both of them at the same time :)
