Hi, very frustrated newbie here. :( I'm new to the site and have tried to figure out my CR CC100 but already thinking I wasted my money.

I'm downloading a free trial of Illustrator to see if that will hopefully help. Why doesn't the CR master software allow for free drawing? What's with this new site that they are supposed to have called Crafty Club that is not up and running and yet they remove the download from their site, then someone said type in German to get it but that didn't work either.

I've never experienced such disjointed and inaccurate instructions from a Co (Graphtec obviously, not paperthreads). I'm glad I found this forum and I hope I can figure this out eventually but oh my, I won't be recommending anyone buy this machine unless they have the patience of a Saint!

Your forum is WONDERFUL!!!!!! My stress level just decreased to zero :) I can't thank you enough!
I would have preferred to figure out how to draw a palm tree myself but found a free template that someone posted on this forum, it printed and now my card is PERFECT!

If it were not for this forum, I probably would have stuck the machine in a corner. Now I'm ready to learn but THANKS for the free templates, what a relief!!!

THANK YOU!!!!

The CR program does allow for free drawing :)

Follow the tutorials, starting with Wishblade 101, and you will be well on your way!

Graphtec is the makers of the machine. Graphtec GB who owns the Crafty Club website is it's own subsidiary, independently owned and operated. Their Craft Club website is up, but it is only for customers of their machine.

Graphtec America does not sell the CR200 yet, it won't be available until 2008 sometime. Again, this is a separate company, independently owned and operated.

The German site is also it's own, just like Paperthreads is it's own company! ;)

I think most of us got frustrated in the beginning. It just takes a few days of playing and cutting to start singing the cutter praises!

Welcome!
