Hello everybody:)

Just got my Iron On Material the stuff in the paperthreads store
and have know idea how to use it didn't come with any instructions
i got the T-Shirt Vinyl and the Fabric Flock

a how to tutorial for the T-Shirt Vinyl and the Fabric Flock would be pretty cool if anybody has some experience with this stuff

Here some questions i have

do you use the mat to cut it
1-which side goes down on the shirt the shiny or dull side
2-how long and hot does it take to iron it on the shirt properly
3-what kind of material do use to keep it from sticking to the iron
any other tips or suggestion's would be greatly appreciated

sorry about the bombardment of questions but
i just got my wife the KNK Element and a bunch of the other accessory's for Christmas
i am trying to figure out the software and any thing else i can before she gets it to speed up her learning curve

Thanks

Hi there!

Here's a quick TUTORIAL (http://www.paperthreads.com/tutorials/tshirtvinyl.zip) on using the fabric transfer we carry in the store. It has step by step photo's and written instructions!

Fabric Flock....you cut that with no mat, the HEAVY plastic side of it will act as a mat. you need to cut in reverse, peel away the parts that aren't getting ironed on, then put your flock side down, and iron on the HEAVY plastic part. Put a soft towel or something down on top before ironing (even parchment paper works great for this part rather then a towel...flour sack towels work good too!) Then, set your iron to about 320-340 degrees and hold in place for 10-15 seconds with medium to firm pressure. Let it cool completely, then peel.

the flock will withstand medium washing and drying temps, works bes on cotton, cotton-poly blends, polyester, and many athletic meshes that can withstand application temp. I ALWAYS recommend washing your material inside out to help protect the iron on and get longer lasting life from it!

Good morning! I received my iron on materials yesterday. I also have no instructions with them. Has anyone used this before that would offer tips, suggestions & directions. Thanks so much! Darcy :o)

you can cut the vinyl on the Wishblade, and it irons on to your tshirt...

I think you would be able to cut the flock to, I haven't actually tried it on my WB, but i'm thinking I feel another product use tutorial for an upcoming newsletter coming on :)
