Hi I have a 13" KNK and I am having a struggle to get my phrase centered on the paper. It either cuts my phrase across the top to high or too low across the bottom. I want it to be in the center exactly. Can anyone help me? I should add that I do have my origin set at the tippy tippy end of the corner of the paper. I also marquis select the phrase and go to layout>Sequence by Traits and then check horizontal and then I go to Layout>Arrange and Distribute>Align to Sign Blank pick CENTER and then to CUT> Plotting Defaults and make sure Sign Blank is selected. OH ya and my paper in perfectly straight lined up on GRID marks. Still wont cut in the center exactly like what I need. Please HELP if you can!

What do you have your paper/sign blank size and orientation set to? Also what do you have your Machine Limits set to?

The "sequence by traits" function (or any of the other sequence functions) has to do with the cutting sequence not the alignment on the page.

Sounds more like you just need to move it visually up or down or make sure that your sizes and machine limits are set correctly.

Hi Thank you for posting. My Orientation is set on landscape. Length 24" and width 48". I tried to move the entire phrase inside the Sign Blank to reposition it and it doesnt help it still cuts too high or too low. I really appreciate any ideas you might have that can help me!

I think that while you have the length ok (if that is how long your paper is like vinyl) the 13" KNK does not have a 48" cutting width.

Mine is set at 13" wide. Try decreasing your width and I think you will be ok as long as your wording fits inside your sign blank.

In order for your machine to cut precisely in the middle, you need to set your sign blank to the EXACT size of your paper. So if you are cutting on 12x12 paper, it needs to be set up as a 12x12 sign blank. The sign blank mode is ABSOLUTE value to your sign blank size, so it has to be the same as you are cutting.

Also, make sure you are using the right orientation. If you are using landscape mode, and your sign blank is set at Length 8.5 and your Width is set to 11. Then your paper should be loaded into the machine with the length of the paper (11 inches) going LEFT to RIGHT into your machine.

They just got back from vacation today, and while on vacation, there was a death in the family, so most of them (it's a family owned business) are preparing to leave again to deal with the services.

Did you purchase your machine from Accugraphic directly?

If not, then contact your dealer....they should be able to help you trouble shoot.

also, how far off i the cut from the center of the page?

I didnt know, I am sorry to hear that.
Whats happening is its either cutting too high or too low. The phrase is straight across but too high on the paper so when I take it out I have lots of paper under the phrase, I just want it centered on the paper. I went back into Cut>Plotting Defaults and I do have Sign Blank selected BUT I didnt have the word Selected checked so I checked it and saved defaults. I will try to play with it this after noon and get back on the board. The people I bought the KNK from told me to call Chad at Accugraphics.

You could just adjust your paper in the cutter for a quick fix or your orgin. I know this is not the best way but it might be faster to get a project done.
