View Full Version : Software Compatability
1. If you have a KNK, can you buy Pazzles add-on software (compilation of images to cut) and actually use it w/ the KNK?
2. Are the same cutting goodies included in Pazzles add-on software as the KNK software or is it exclusive?
3. If you have a KNK, can you buy QuicKutz files and use them as well?
Thanks so much!
4. What about Funtime, can one buy that and use it w/ a KNK machine?
5. Are the graphics different than KNK software?
I have a KNK and the software that comes with it is great so I don't think you'd need to think about the Funtime. I don't think the Quickutz files are downloadable to any machine except the silhouette - am I right on that girls? I really found the KNK software pretty easy and with the cuttervision videos that Michelle has been sharing I've discovered a couple new tricks. If you just want to download & cut look at all that are in the store - and there are lots of good clipart files included with the software that I've used lots. My opinion only here - if you get a KNK and will spend a little time learning the software and ask questions here and read the tutorials you won't need any other software.

Pazzles has their own proprietary extension on their files, so you would have to have one of the versions of that software, which would be Funtime Software.
Quickutz has it built in that you can not save one of the files you purchase. I'm sure someone has worked a way around it, but even then, I don't know that it is easily opened in KNK without doing the usual GSD to KNK conversion methods.
Thank you ~ I am planning on designing (okay, already started sketching and I don't even have my machine yet) my own original designs as well as buying from PT (GREAT selection for personal use), but I might want something different down the road as well. So knowing that the KNK & it's software is probably the most versatile is a PLUS!! I don't need a bunch of digital cutters taking up space & collecting dust and that tend to be limiting ... I want something versatile and I will be able to grow with it. I am so FAVORING the ELEMENT!! Thank you all so much for your input. I love this forum, I hope, once I get my Element, and learn it (you'll probably see me asking for help), I can help others too!

Woo Hoo, you have made a decision! You are going to love the Element and the software. I do all of my designing with the Studio software. If you have any questions or problems, you know everyone here is just a post away!
Eddita :)
Thank you ~ Everyone has been great ~ I hope I can contribute as well!
