If this has been asked before, just direct me to the thread please.

I am making Jar Candle Wraps. Doing lots of tracing and layering. Going through tons of tiny pop dots.
I wondered if the WB would cut the thin cheap foam sheets they sell at the dollar store.

I haven't tried it but have read on other boards that it will dull your blade.

The problem with the foam sheets is that they are too thick, you have very limited width that can go through those rollers. On top of this, the material isn't dense, so the blade catches and drags. Just not a good combination!

Michelle, is this different from the craft foam that scrapbookers have been cutting using the other blade sold by Gary? I've heard that works fine.

Oh Sandy, want to know more about this.
Is this the same person who sells the printable/cutable magnetic sheets?

I don't know... I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to cutting anything but cardstock! lol I did have a student who brought in fabric with Wonder Under and we could cut that just fine. But I've never experimented with alternative materials, including free samples that I receive. I do know that Gary sells some other stuff. So does Susan who owns Sticky Stuff. Here are their web sites if you want to go check:

I also sell these blades at my site, www.paperthreads.com/store

The white tipped blade can cut some of the thicker materials, but it is not a perfect solution. In my personal tests with it, the foam is still difficult to roll through the machine, and for any type of inticate design, the blade just can't get the movement it needs. If you are just cutting medium to large circles, or squares, it is more successful.

You would also need the bladeholder, but that is a one time purchase. What I like best about the blades is that they cut the bazzill and other heavy cardstock much better than the OEM blades.

Thanks everyone. Looks like it is probably a good idea I just invest in bunches of those mini pop dots.
