I have been playing with the zing engraving tool this week on and off. I started with the aluminum foil tape that I got in the plumbing supply aisle at Home Depot. What I noticed was that when the zing initially punched down it left a divot.
so.. I lowered the pressure to 1 and lowered the engraving tool. I still got divots... My conclusion was that the foil was just not going to work.
Next I tried engraving cardstock. pressure around 10 works could probably be a little higher or maybe lower depending on the cardstock.
Here is what I ended up with
I inked the paper which darkened the lines with Ranger Distress ink. I finished off with a spritz of water. The flower is big, approx 8.5 inches high. I started small but the lines were too close together and I ended up with a mess.
Use pressure of about 10
Set the tool down low but not touching the paper. ( you don't want to get carry lines)
Designs lines must not be too close together.
Well that about does it.
Thanks for looking
