Thread: the Scrapsavvy 12" Cutter

    Default the Scrapsavvy 12" Cutter

I just got an email about this machine, but no picture of it to see what it looks like, and no manufacturer info. Who in the heck makes it?? for 999.00 I'd want more info, especially with these terms of purchase. they seem pretty hefty to me. to pay all up front w/ no cancellations allowed, without knowing a thing about the machine. All sales final.

Is it just me or does this seem a bit strange? Anyone ever hear of this machine??

I got the email to. Did a search on the domain for the scrapsavvy.net and it is registered, but no other information is given. The registration company is in scottsdale and they use a ups store/Mail boxes address. But no information about the company itself.
That is all I know for now. Should be interesting to hear about it in the future.

    Enjoy!

Actually just googled and found it for sale at The S..in' Path website...the whole "reason" listed on the site for payment up front is that "This item is for pre-order only. Delivery times will vary from 3-6 weeks. Our web is only set up to charge at the time of purchase. We will do everything we can to expidite delivery. This is available at this introductory price for a limited time. Retail $1299.99 Introductory price $999.00"

Also kind of weird, the price is listed at $899.00 introductory but then click on the link and it changes to $999.00

Software is listed as being WinPcSign "Fun time" software.

Well no, I'm not bashing. I just think it's weird that you can order it for 1000.00 but with no pictures. Who would do that?

interesting. So they're making this machine???

This is a product that we are branding! It is our own line called
ScrapSavvy. It will not have the optical eye but we can and will do
a tutorial on cut and print without the optical eye.... liek the
tutorails we already have on this subject but modified to work with
this cutter. It has 500 grams of pressure.

Not sure if I'd buy something for that much money from someone w/ no experience making machines, but that's just me. I'm not in any way bashing, just discussing!

I found the part about it being "vista compatible" but if you have "hardware incompatibilities" it's your own fault. And who makes it? I assume it's relabeling another machine but I hadn't heard of a 12 inch cutter out there.

Oh no - I didn't mean that any of you were bashing..... so sorry you thought I did -

What I was trying to say is I refuse to bash or flame (BUT I COULD)..... that was what I was implying!!! I am trying to be a bigger person!!! Make sense???

So Sorry you took it the wrong way!!!

    :(

Yeah - I don't want to be the designer that was caught saying bad things about other places!! LOL I have a reputation now to protect!! Bahahaha....

No in all seriousness I had some not so pleasant things happen and said to me over there before I ever became a designer, back when I was a very green in the gills newbee... and that was the main reason why I started hanging out here all the time- cause everyone was nice, friendly and truly seemed intersted in helping me.......

And I have to say I have made some awesome friends here..... and I have enough drama and issues in my own life without adding more from a forum!!!

If you know what I mean!!!
