Lightbulb Need a Mother's Day gift idea?

I created a couple of mother's day items using some of Carrie's Creations Playful Tags (CS00158). In the file was a scalloped circle and a circle and I blew them up to make some flowers for THIS MOM'S DAY BOUQUET and just the scalloped circle to decorate this MOM'S DAY DVD TIN.

The flowers in the bouquet were made using 2 sheets of cardstock cut out with the scalloped circle with a drinking straw glued in between them sandwich style. Then I just took some fun green ribbon and tied it below the flower to make some pretty contrasting leaves. In the paint can I have hershey's kisses with some saran wrap over the top for shippng. It was super easy to make and you could do it for other things too besides mother's day. My son and I are working on a second one right now in primary colors to give to his kindergarten teacher for May Day!!

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think!!

I really like your gift tin idea with the DVD. That is a very thoughtful gift and one any g-ma would enjoy receiving
I like the flowers too and it certainly would make a nice little gift for a teacher

What a great idea and it would work well for other "special" days! Will file in my mental roladex

Ahh, so that is how you come up with all these great ideas! You have a mental roladex? Can you get one at Amazon.com? Michelle, have you thought about carrying those in the store? A mental roladex might be expensive, but so worth the cost!

Well Shirley, the mental roladex can only hold important things like great crafting and gift ideas...all of the other unimportant information (like geography) go into my special mental sieve file.

We all have mental roladex files but have only limited space which cannot be upgraded. So it sounds like you have to go through yours and clean out the unimportant stuff (nursing degree, etc) and you too will have tons of space ready to fill up!

My mother visits her mum in London so I have a little bit more time to craft something really nice. But to show her that I didn't forget mother's day I'm gonna make a london flower delivery for her and my granny. I hope that they will like it but I think that you can't do much wrong with some flowers.
