Its CRUNCH Time!

Ok I've made the decision Im FINALLY going to do it and upgrade! My poor old cr just isnt cutting the mustard (or cardstock!) not all the time but I do get quite shirty when I have to still "trim it up" thats what I brought him for!

So, here in Australia, there is only $100 difference between the PI and the KNK 13" so price doesnt come into it. I'd LOVE some opinions on which is the better machine (opinion seems divided on software from what I've seen. I hope to do a fair bit of cutting (maybe even sell some titles at markets to make money back) and would value any opinions out there. I've seen them both in action and Im just soooooooooo CONFUSED!!!

Ginny, I say the KNK...but of course I'm WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY biases

I have the baby (element) but am saving up my pennies for the 13 someday...I love the fact that I can set pressure and speed and LOVE the Studio software. The only thing that the KNK does not have is the optical eye, but as I really don't do that many print and cuts it does not really matter to me. For the few I have done however, there is a way to set it up and not too hard.

I'm the same as Eddita & love my element but... want to someday upgrade to a wider one either the 13 or 15 inch. My first machine was a WB and haven't missed it (well it's sitting in a case under my work desk here). Good luck with your decision.

I just upgraded to the element about a month ago...I had the blue cr, was having the same problems as you...
I'm in LOVE with my knk...I'll probably be saving for the 13" too!

I upgraded my Element to the 13" KNK a few months ago and I absolutely love it ! Cutting full 12x12 is just awesome ! I also love the KNK Studio Software. I'm SO addicted to the Ginsu knife !

Another thing worth mentioning is that the KNK has one of the best manuals I've ever used. Most programs have the built in "Help" section which I never find helpful when I'm stuck but the KNK actually has a very user friendly printed manual with some pictures and tutorial exercises that really help you learn the software.

Psssstttt Ginny, if you can afford it go with the KNK...great machine, built to last (metal body not plastic casing), ability to cut through just about anything, super software, etc. etc....
