Paperthreads Fundraiser for the family of Scott Schwartz

[Paperthreads]

Hi everyone!

The designers at Paperthreads wanted to do something for our fellow designer and family member, Carrie Schwartz.

You haven't seen or heard much from her lately, and that is because they are currently finding their way through a family crisis. You see, last month, Scott (Carrie's husband) was "re-diagnosed" with cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment, and as such is unable to work and provide for their family.

As they struggle with dealing with this, and with getting their seven children to have some degree of normalcy in their home, we decided as a team that we could put together a list of files that we could offer up in a membership club, with all proceeds going to help the family.

Have all pitched in, and between us, we are each providing 5 or more files under the theme "Vacations & Getaways".

We will be offering them over a 3 month period in a membership club format her on the forum!

You can purchase this for $15, and there is also a donate button set up where you can donate any additional monies that your heart feels you can spare. We know it's a difficult time in our economy, and many families are under a lot of stress and duress, so please find it in your heart to at least purchase the $15 membership! You will get such an AWESOME DEAL from all the great files that will be included!

I'll be updating this thread as we open up the membership in July, and will be updating with new pictures of files as they start to roll in from the designers!

Even if your family isn't taking a vacation this year, these files will also work for those short little jaunts to the beach, lake, park, or even local amusement events!

I was planning on this one but decided to wait for the donate button. Hope Michelle sees this and gets it fixed. I'm so glad you designers decided to do this. I have a close friend who's sister has a rare cancer. She has great insurance but I have seen the bills and I just kept thinking of Carrie. So Carrie and family you have many prayers and thoughts from me. I was very glad, teary eyed and sad to read the blog but thank you. Prayers and hugs to you and your wonderful family.

Michelle and designers, this is so kind of you to do for her and her family. My thoughts and prayers go out to Carrie during this difficult time. I have a friend that was diagnosed with lung cancer and they removed part of his lung and now <knock on wood> he is cancer free, thank heaven. I hope the schwartz family pull through this. I started to read a bit about it on her blog but I did not realize it was her husband.

I'm so happy to be part of such a supportive community of women! thank you designers for doing this! I cried reading her blog today too, I also signed up to follow it so I can keep tabs on how they're doing.

Our family will be remember her family in our prayers for sure!
