The TOY BOX Collection

This one really brings back memories of old! The detail on all of these paper piecings is absolutely wonderful! And what a great way to scrap all those old pictures of you or your children opening up your presents at Christmas or Birthdays! Complete with a doll house, Jack in the Box, Jacks, YoYo, Spinning Top, and of course, the Potato Head! There is a little bit of something for everyone in this collection! Remember those days with the light up "glo worms" at bed time? Guaranteed to bring a smile and to brighten up a childhood memory!

Member Spotlight

Each month, we will be spotlighting a member from our forum! This is to show appreciation for the things they do that attributes to the success of the forum! This month, we have decided to recognize one member that has contributed to the community through her participation in the Swaps! We are still new enough and small enough, that swaps are hard to fill and host! Rocsmom (Misty C) is very much appreciated in the swapping world at Paperthreds! She has stepped in and hosted some page swaps, and for the upcoming 12 Moments in Time swap she has recruited a few of her friends to join in on the fun! She has also been willing to fill in spots if a swap didn't quite fill up!

She joined the forum in March, shortly afer I first launched it, and while we don't hear a whole bunch from her, she checks in regularly, and has found a niche in the swapping world! It's wonderful people like Misty that make the swaps at Paperthreads such a great success! Check your personal messages Misty, in the next few days we sent you a little gift as token of our appreciation for all you do!

Tutorial of the MONTH:

This month we are offering another 2 quick tutorials.

The first tutorial, written by Julie Zvanut and Michelle Hessler, will focus on using Registration Marks, including how far to roll your paper into the machine for best results! Utilizing the optical eye in your CraftRobo or Wishblade machine can be a frustrating process. But once you figure out exactly how to set it all up, and you take not at what works best for your machine, you will be cutting printed objects left and right!

The second tutorial was written by Lori of Designs by Ravin, and deals with how to clean up your file after you do an auto trace in Illustrator! It includes "screen" shots of each step in the process, so you can visually see what you are looking for on screen.
