Meet our new Designer, Shirley Clark!
We are so proud to announce our newest member to our design team! Shirley Clark is a very familiar face in the Paperthreads forum, keeping us all sane! And now, she has agreed to try her hand at designing, and I must say, her first set of collections are Fantabulous! Just peak at what she has above, and you'll soon agree that we are lucky to have her on board!
Here's all about Shirley, in her own words:
"I was an RN for several years, specializing in OB, newborn, women’s health, women’s surgery, antepartum and postpartum. In 2005, I had surgery on both hands and have not been able to return to work. It was a very fun and rewarding career!
How did I end up here? I have done artsy crafty things ever since I can remember, but never did much with paper type crafts. I did a lot of sewing, needlework and other odds and ends. After I had surgery on my hands, I wanted to do something different. I decided that I really didn’t want to do scrapbooking, but would like to do some cardmaking. Since I had done some embroidery in my past, I started doing some paper embroidery. I loved it, but it didn’t agree with my hands, so I had to quit. Then I started doing some iris folding. I was able to do the paper folding, but had difficulty cutting out the aperature. That is when Dora told me about the Wishblade. The rest is history. I got my Wishblade in August and have been addicted ever since!"
Shirley is offering freebies with almost every new collection she puts in the store, so make sure you check in often!

This next recoginition of a member has been a long time coming! She has been very integral to Paperthreads, providing insightful tips and tutorials on how to get the most out of your machine, and making your own designs!
Please give a big shout out to Susibi, who joined the forum in March 2006, shortly afer we first launched it! She's very active in another community, but still finds the time to stop in and share a bit of her knowledge! She posted this tutorials not long ago, and that has been so helpful to all cutter owners, not just one's using Inkscape. Take a look here, and your eyes are opened to so many more possibilities!
Check your personal messages, Susibi, for a little special token of our appreciation!
